Parents' meetings held periodically provide excellent forums for parents to discuss the achievements and future targets of their sons and daughters. Reports are sent to parents via our Parents' Web Portal that stores copies of all reports written during a child's career at Chinmaya Vidyalaya and are easily retrievable via a personal password.
We have a regular schedule for our Parents and Teachers Meetings. Apart from it, we also have a general meeting with parents of each class at least twice a year. At Chinmaya, our scheme of education doesn't stop with presenting our students for their public exams. We target on 'Harmony and Focus'. Harmonious integration into the society after graduation from school and undeviated focus for mastery over the subjects taught. Hence during Parent-Teacher meetings, we discuss the roles of parents in moulding their children.
The agenda of these meetings for every class is
- Principal will introduce the subject teachers to the parents in the beginning of I term, and give a brief account of the system and technique adopted for teaching and learning and exposes them to the rules and regulations of the school.
- Subject teachers share their teaching methodology, the objectives and the expected behavioural outcomes.
- Parents are invited to share their views and suggestions for our consideration.
- During the III term meeting, teachers will give general instructions regarding the final exam preparations and student behaviour in classrooms.
Open Day
We allot a specific day, after every terminal exam, for parents to collect the assessment card of their children from their class teachers. Personal interaction regarding the shortcomings of the students can take place with the teacher concerned. This novel approach has become highly productive in implementing reinforcements and remedial measures for efficient performance.
